What is IPVPN network?

IPVPN is a Virtual Private Network running IP Protocol over a Private Infrastructure and/or the Public Internet. It can be a closed corporate group (Intranet), or an open group to selected partners (Extranet). Let me share with you all the basic network diagram.


This is a network diagram between HQ and branch from TM access until last end. Basically the network is being used by corporate company. The primary network is IPVPN but the company still need a backup in case the the primary is down. There are an options for backup which are ADSL, ISDN or SDSL.

Every network will go through IPVPN cloud, TM local access and customer portion.


TERMS  used in IPVPN network:
PE = Provider Edge
CE = Customer Edge
NT = Network Terminal (Leased line modem on site)
SW = Switch
PC = Private Computer
CH = Channel @ LSS Node
